BREADBAR GETS FRIED FOR ITS NEXT “HATCHI TRUCK STOP” EVENT WITH GUEST GASTROTRUCK—FRYSMITH
Century City’s artisanal bakery-bistro will host the fry-focused food truck for an eight-dish menu with humanely-raised ingredients and international flavors
On Thursday, July 28 from 6-10 p.m., BREADBAR Century City and Curating Chef Noriyuki Sugie fire up the next installment of the monthly “Hatchi Truck Stop” series with LA food truck Frysmith. With a one-night-only menu offering eight dishes ($8 each; $32 minimum purchase), Owners Erik Cho and Brook Howell will take their Kennebec fry-centric meals from the sidewalk to BREADBAR’s stove with a new twist on signature dishes that include Kimchi Fries with Kurobuta Pork Belly and Rajas Fries with Shawarma-marinated Steak. Social media fans who “like” BREADBAR’s Facebook page can access priority reservations for July’s “Hatchi Truck Stop” event 24 hours before it opens to the public.
Dishes on Frysmith’s July 28 “Hatchi Truck Stop” menu will pair with recommended wine, local craft beer, and cocktail selections, and will include:
· Grilled Lamb Chop with smoked Eggplant Relish and Miso Spinach
· Ultimate Fries with hand-cut Kennebec Potatoes fried in Duck Fat and topped with Fleur de Sel and Truffle Bacon, served with Tarragon Aïoli and homemade Ketchup
· Wild Salmon and glazed Veal Sweetbreads with Celery Root Fries and Corn & Parsley Purée
· Potato Risotto with roasted Beet and Gruyere Sauce, topped with smoked Jidori Chicken
· Sweet Potato Fries Dessert with Hickory Syrup, Bourbon Whipped Cream, and Pecans
Building on his mission to continually re-imagine the pop-up dining movement in Los Angeles, Sugie will also oversee the invitation of future guest food truck chefs to progressively develop the new series.
